Launched in 2014, BLYQUES BLADES creates authentic African knives that help support Christ – centered missions in Africa. Each knife is hand-crafted by Jacques Minnaar, a missionary in Venda South-Africa, who designs and creates each blade in his spare time.

All blades are hollow ground and crafted from stainless steel, specifically 14C28N, Bohler N690 or 12C27, while the handles are made from exotic African hardwood, bone, horn or G10. Each knife comes with a sheath made from Bovine Buff Black or Veg-Tan hand –stitched leather. They also include a unique feature: Each blades is laser cut with the African continent to serve as a reminder to pray for the missionaries of Africa.

Jacques Minnaar, his wife and their two children serve as missionaries in Venda Limpopo Province, South-Africa. Proceeds from the purchase of a BLYQUES BLADE provides a small income toward their mission work there.
