Bertie Rietveld has been making knives since 1979. He has been making Damascus since 1990. Created DragonSkin Damascus in 2000, and Nebula Damascus in 2004.

A former member of the Knifemakers Guild in Italy, he is a currently member of the KGSA, and has recently been voted in as a full member of the AKI. The AKI is one of the most prestigious knife shows in the world with only 25 members. The show is held in San Diego, California every two years. Bertie’s knives are highly sought after all over the world.
